MDCC’s Foundation Shares 2025 giving totals ahead of giving tuesday
Moorhead, MS — As the MDCC Foundation wraps up its 2025 Week of Giving Thanks, we are proud to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, over $560,000 has been raised since January 1, 2025, through donations and new pledges to support the students and mission of Mississippi Delta Community College.
These contributions directly impact MDCC students through scholarships, programs, and campus initiatives that make higher education more accessible and transformative right here in the Mississippi Delta. The funds raised to date include:
Scholarships and Student Aid: Over $200,000
Academic Programs and Equipment: $4,250
Athletic Program Support: Over $50,000
Unrestricted and Annual Giving: Over $125,000
Alumni Scholarships and Support: Over $16,000
Workforce Development: $27,500
Other Various Funds: Over $130,000
“This incredible show of generosity represents the heart of the Delta—people coming together to invest in opportunity,” said Alan Crews, Interim Director of College Advancement. “Every dollar raised supports a student’s journey—whether that means covering tuition, providing new learning tools, or supporting programs that prepare our graduates for success. This Week of Giving Thanks is about more than just fundraising; it’s about gratitude, community, and the belief that education transforms lives. We are deeply thankful to everyone who gives and champions our mission.”
The Week of Giving Thanks is our opportunity to celebrate the donors, alumni, employees, and friends who make student success possible every day. Their gifts—large and small—help ensure that MDCC remains a place where opportunity and education meet.

Looking Ahead: National Giving Day Launch Coming Tomorrow
As we close out this week of gratitude, the MDCC Foundation is excited to look forward to our next major initiative. Tomorrow, we’ll be announcing our plans for National Giving Day on Tuesday, December 2nd. This special day of generosity will invite the entire MDCC family—alumni, faculty, staff, and friends—to come together once again in support of our students and their success.
